The United States administration has announced that from early November, double vaccinated travellers will be permitted entry into the United States.

This sees a relaxing of the existing US travel ban which has been in place for 18 months and heralds a huge step forward to reconnect the UK and many other countries with the US.

More details will follow on exact dates however early indications suggest that entry to the US will be granted on providing proof of being fully vaccinated plus a negative test taken in the previous three dates of travel.

In the UK, the Government has confirmed that it will streamline the existing traffic light system and entry requirements from 4th October.  The traffic light system will be replace with a 'Red List' and 'Rest of the World List'.

Double vaccinated travellers arriving into England from a non red country will no longer need to take a pre departure test and replaced the Day 2 test with a lateral flow test from 4th October.  (Instead of the more expensive PCR test)

Travellers arriving into Scotland from non red countries will continue to take a pre departure test and PCR test on Day 2 from arrival.
