Clyde Travel Management has expanded its air travel offering as another major global airline approves direct access to its travel content, now available through Clyde’s proprietary software, Consort ™.
Lufthansa Group certifies Clyde with a direct connection to their New Distribution Capability (NDC) content, providing the best value range of airfares on offer.
With Consort ™, travel consultants now have direct access to full content offered by the Lufthansa Group of airlines plus a wide selection of trip related extras.
The new agreement allows Clyde’s consultants to find content direct from source, rather than utilizing the intermediary Global Distribution System (GDS), the traditional method of booking for the industry.
Richard Nicol, Head of Supplier Relations, explained the benefits to customers.
He said: “This is another key milestone on Clyde’s commitment to ensuring both customers and our own travel professionals have access to the best content with the ability to secure it in a modern way.
“By adding further New Distribution Capability content (NDC), this reaffirms the investment in our Consort ™ platform to host multiple NDC direct connections.
“By accessing fares directly, we can personalise offers to suit our customers’ needs, as well as service the ticket efficiently.
