Thames Estuary airport plans to be looked at by UK Government
According to a BBC report, a ‘formal consultation’ is set to be announced by the UK Government in March, on plans for new airport in Thames estuary. According to this report, Prime minister David Cameron is thought to support plans for new airport but Lib Dems oppose south east of England airport expansions. However, the consultation has been welcomed by some airlines who feel this will strengthen connections with the Far East and provide more opportunities for economic growth.
